About Us
We are BOTH a physical location where commodities are securely warehoused and traded, and an online trading platform where we market and trade commodities on behalf of suppliers.
The functions of our team include the following :

fiduciary, legal, security, insurance and trading issues

branding, marketing and market-making

advising on pricing (based on international commodity prices)

Our target markets
The Southern Cape, from Nature’s Valley in the east to Still Bay in the west, is booming. Current stats show growth at twice the national average, with the population expected to top 500 000 by 2020. What are Commodities ?
First up, what do we mean by the word 'commodity' ?
Here are a couple of definitions :

a raw material or primary agricultural product that can be traded, such as iron, timber or oil.

a basic good used in commerce that is interchangeable with other commodities of the same type; commodities are most often used as inputs in the production of other goods or services.

a tradable item where price is determined as a function of its market as a whole. Well-established physical commodities have actively traded spot and derivative markets. Soft commodities are goods that are grown, while hard commodities are ones that are extracted through mining.
How do suppliers & buyers access The Floor ?
The Commodities Trading Floor is open to all suppliers and buyers as follows:

suppliers access to The Floor by annual membership, a fee per trade per volume per time unit for smaller deals, or a commission per trade per time unit for larger deals.

access to the The Floor is free for all buyers
-
the physical trading of the commodities is completed at our warehouse, where our team manages the full transaction
-
volumes for trade are set at between 1m³ and 100m³
-
innovation is in our trading model itself
